Lower energy consumption and long life.

I just replaced the conventional bulbs with these LED lights in a set of Lionel postwar Pullman style cars. While not quite as bright as the original bulbs at peak voltage, they still provide plenty of light. The light quality is different - not the warm yellow of the older bulbs, more of a blue-white. I'm okay with that - it's a matter of personal preference.

These LED bulbs are not as bright as I had hoped they would be. I am replacing conventional bulbs in my model train Passenger cars. Each passenger car has four bulbs that I had hoped I could replace with these LED bulbs. Unfortunately they are not as bright as the conventional bulbs and I am forced to use two LED bulbs and two conventional bulbs in each passenger car. I also only needed 20 bulbs, unfortunately the smallest package you had was 50 bulbs, so I will have to try to give some of my train friends some of my surplus. You should have used the LED-120WW they work better

The bulbs work good in LIONEL O22 switches but do not fit in the LIONEL ZW transformer. They are taller than originals and interfere with the installation of the jewel cap.

The LEd's work well and give you cool white light. However you need a direct ground from the LED mount to the trucks or the light is very dim. One of my cars was wired this way and that is why I found the problem. Also the light emits out of the top of the LED so we put foil reflectors in the cars to bounce the light around. Also used Amber glass paint to warm up the color balance. The low draw with the LED's in place did allow the transformer to give more power to the locomotive.

Excellent bulbs, but could be brighter.

Very satisfied with the bayonet bulbs I purchased to replace lamps on my o gauge layout

Excellent performance and much lower power drain. The white version looks great in buildings and is also used in bumpers, turnouts and switch controllers. Brightness is comparable to the incandescent bulbs replaced.

The LED 1445 ww bulbs are a good replacement for filament 18v bulbs if drawing less electricity is the prime objective. The LED's are not as bright, however. I used the LEDs in a 7 car Lionel passenger train (2 bulbs per car). It made a significant difference in the train's performance and the transformers ability to supply adequate power.
