Good replacement for incandescents

Some have complained that these LED "bulbs" are too dim. But the incandescent bulbs in my Lionel Congressional aluminum cars are are far too unrealistically bright. I could almost replace the room lights with the blaze from the Congressional cars.
So, yes, the LED "bulbs" are not as bright as incandescents, but that's exactly what I want for this application. They look much better.

Used to replace bayonet bulbs in Railking buildings. At 11 volts shine bright and even. Wouldn't recommend using in 494 rotating beacon because majority of light is directed upward and will leave a "seam" across the lenses. The LED-1445 is better, but much dimmer than the incandescent.

Nothing like an incandescent 1445

Compared to a "real" 1445, this bulb is dim and sterile. It has a bit of a yellow tint, but it's harsh -- at least as much as it's possible to be harsh when it's so dim.
I also purchased a couple of the cheaper LED 1445-WW's to test, and they were no better.
I also ordered a box of the incandescent 1445's and they were fantastic.
I would only recommend these if power consumption was a critical factor -- in which case they would help a lot.

Good substitute for traditional incandescent bulb

This is a good substitute for the incandescent bulb and should stay much cooler than the traditional bulb. However, as another reviewer noted, they are not as bright as the traditional bulb and might disappoint in applications such as searchlights.
