LED / 1447 Red / Green Review

I have replaced all of my Lionel # 153 Block Signals with these LED replacements and they are excellent.

The outer glass bulb on one of these broke off exposing the LED. Due to this, I could see that the LED's are Bi-pole and clear. The broken bulb part did not effect the operation of the LED, so I used some clear epoxy to re-attach the the bulb, and it was just like new. The LED's will glow Red / Green and the outer bulb is stained Red / Green and gives an added richness to the glow of the bulb. These look great, and due to the fact that there is no heat transmitted to the outer bulb, the stain on the bulb housing will not burn off or get discolored over time. Excellent product!
